Launch event 8th May

02-05-2019 | 08:57

This July, the Energy for Refugees team from the TU Delft will travel to Lesvos (Greece) to install solar panels within Olive Grove refugee camp, collaborating with the NGO Eurorelief. However, none of this will be possible without your contribution to help our project.

Energy for Refugees has officially launched a crowdfunding campaign. The money raised here will pay for the solar panels and the structure they stand on, enabling us to power the equivalent lighting for the entire camp of 5000 people plus more!

These solar panels could improve the lives of hundreds of refugees on Lesvos  - to light their way at night, provide heating in the winter and charge their phones to talk to loved ones. Just a small donation of €10 could help them be that one step closer to living a more normal life. Be a part of our cause and share our campaign.

In addition, we will be hosting a launch event on 8th May 19:00 at Freetown (X - TU Delft) to celebrate the opening of our crowdfunding to the public. It would be great to see the faces of our supporters and sponsors there to help promote the project as well as new faces who are keen to find out more about us! Come join the fun and festivities.

 Thanks for your support!
