In honor of our 125th anniversary, we, Het Gezelschap "Practische Studie", have designed a symbolic artwork that will be an eye catcher on the façade of the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geosciences. To realise this, we ask for your help! 

Help us to realise a unique work of art. 

Your donation is very welcome and you can also help by sharing this campaign with your network. We will work together to be able to realise this artwork and enrich our faculty and the TU Delft campus with this eye catcher!

With this artwork we want to give an international and impressive picture of our education. The artwork consists of an engraving, sized 11x5 meters, of all rivers in the world. The artwork bears the name 'Share Knowledge Like Rivers Flow', to symbolize the connection that the faculty has in the field of water all over the world.

The artwork will consist of a large cortensteel plate of 11 by 5 metres. All the big rivers will be carved out of this plate and LED lights will be placed behind the plate. The artwork will be placed on the façade next to the main entrance of the faculty. It will be visible from all over the Mekelpark and, especially at night, a true spectacle! 

Het Gezelschap "Practische Studie" is the study association of students of Civil Engineering at the TU Delft. In 1886, members of the Delftsch Studenten Corps decided to give the members the opportunity to capacitate in the the civil- and building engineering sciences. This has been the base for Het Gezelschap ''Practische Studie'', the association that has been officially established in 1894.

 In the past 125 years PS was committed to improvement of the education and widening the knowledge and skills of the future civil engineers. This Lustrum will be celebrated, by means of several activities and as the grand finale, the artwork on the faculty!

180 of the 1,800 members are active in the organization of the various activities via committees. 7 board members work full-time in order to guarantee continuity and to oversee overarching activities.

Het Gezelschap "Practische Studie" celebrates its 125th anniversary this year, together with all the Civil Engineering Students at the TU Delft.

You will receive an version of this documentary on DVD. Together with the DVD, you will get an invitation for the presentation evening of the documentary. Of course you will also receive previous rewards. 1 donor €500 Donate Biggest Sea Lock - Civil engineers from Delft have always been world famous for controlling the course and flow rate of rivers. In IJmuiden, the biggest sea lock in the world is being built with a length of 500 meters. As a reward, you will get a miniature version of ‘Share Knowledge Like Rivers Flow’. Of course you will also receive previous rewards. 2 donors €978 Donate Largest Waterfall - The highest waterfall of the world is the Angelfalls in Venezuela, this waterfall is 978 meters high. For your generous donation, you will receive a personal invitation for a tour through the faculty of CEG and a lunch with the organizing committee.  23-04-2019 | 12:24 First of all, many thanks to everyone who has made a donation for the artwork and thus makes it possible for the artwork to actually come. On the 7th of June 2019 ‘Het Gezelschap Practische Studie’ organizes an alumni-day for alumni of Civil Engineering and we heartily want to invite you for this day. On this day there will be a tour around The Green Village, the unveiling of the artwork is planned, the (new) documentary about 125 years of civil engineering and Practische Studie will be shown, interesting lectures will take place and there is time to catch up with fellow alumni. A lunch will be provided at the faculty and we will finish the day together with a drink in the faculty café. Registering is possible by sending an e-mail to lustrum-ps@tudelft.nl.
